Attendance

School begins at 7:30am in the morning.  Students arriving at 7:38 or after are rushing to get to their classroom before the tardy bell rings.  Any student arriving in their classroom after 7:40 will be marked tardy.  Please have your student to school by 7:30 so they can start their day off relaxed instead of rushing. 

Please contact the attendance office concerning absences, tardy and early sign-outs.  Document with medical excuses from the provider or parent notes when your child is out sick.  Contact the attendance office for Principal Approval Request forms concerning hardships or educational trips. 

Remember:  Horry County Schools attendance policy:   3+ consecutive unexcused absences, 5+ accumulative unexcused absences or 10+ unexcused tardy/early sign-outs will result in an AIP (Attendance Intervention Plan) being implemented.  You can view the HCS Attendance information from the link below.
