Burgess Elementary School

Mission:

The mission of Burgess Elementary School, in partnership with our community, is to provide a safe and nurturing learning habitat that develops lifelong leaders and learners as responsible members of society.

Burgess Elementary is proud to have been named a 2012 Palmettos Finest school and a 2013 National School of Character.  We are located in Horry County and served approximately 720 students in child development through fourth grade.  We opened the doors of our beautiful facility in November of 2007. We are located just a few miles west of the Atlantic Ocean in the Burgess Community where we work hard to celebrate our community connections and to preserve our rich history. We instill in our students a sense of personal responsibility and service to others and cultivate an understanding of and responsibility for environmental stewardship. At Burgess Elementary School we create an environment where teamwork is valued by our students, faculty, staff, and families. We invite you to visit Burgess Elementary School a habitat for growing lifelong leaders and learners.
