Burgess Elementary is the newest elementary school in Horry County Schools
serving approximately 620 students in child development through fifth grade. We opened the doors of our beautiful facility in November of 2007. We are located just
a few miles west of the Atlantic Ocean in the Burgess Community where we work
hard to celebrate our community connections and to preserve our rich history. We
instill in our students a sense of personal responsibility and service to others and cultivate an understanding of and responsibility for environmental stewardship. At Burgess Elementary School we create an environment where team work is valued
