Burgess Elementary School

   Burgess Elementary is the newest elementary school in Horry County Schools serving approximately 610 students in child development through fifth grade.  We opened the doors of our beautiful facility in November of 2007. We are located just a few miles west of the Atlantic Ocean in the Burgess Community where we work hard to celebrate our community connections and to preserve our rich history.  We instill in our students a sense of personal responsibility and service to others and cultivate an understanding of and responsibility for environmental stewardship. At Burgess Elementary School we create an environment where team work is valued by our students, faculty, staff, and families. We would love to have you come visit Burgess Elementary School a habitat for growing lifelong leaders and learners.

Horry County Registration and Elections reminds registered voters that the election date for the General Election is Tuesday, November 2.
National SUBWAY spokesperson Jared Fogle will speak at an assembly of third, fourth, and fifth grade students on Friday, August 27th at 10:00.
Support Burgess Elementary to win $500,000 from the Kohl's Cares® contest. In celebration of Kohl's Cares® 10th anniversary, we're donating $500,000 to 20 schools each for a total of $10 million from the Kohl's Cares® cause merchandise program. Voting ends Sept. 3, 2010.
